CSE faculty member earns prestigious postdoctoral fellowship at NKUST, Taiwan
Reflecting the dedicated efforts of Vidya’s faculty members, a Postdoctoral Fellowship stands as a crucial nexus in an academic career
The Department of CSE is delighted to share that Dr. Sanaj M S (Prof,CSE Dept) has successfully completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the prestigious Advanced Information & Communication Technology Laboratory within the Department of Electronic Engineering at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) in Taiwan.
NKUST is among Taiwan’s largest and most prominent public technological universities, recognized for its strong engineering focus and its role in bridging advanced research with real-world application — particularly in Information Engineering. The fellowship was carried out under the mentorship of Prof. Mong-Fong Horng (Director,Advanced Information & Communication Technology Lab, NKUST) with Dr. Chun-Chih Lo (co-supervisor, NKUST).
During the fellowship, his research was focused on Energy-Efficient Task Scheduling in Cloud Computing, a frontier area at the intersection of sustainable computing and intelligent optimization. This work has culminated in a publication in the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, titled “Energy-Efficient Task Scheduling in Cloud Computing with EcoTaskOpt:A Hybrid Ant Colony and Particle Swarm Optimization Approach”. The paper introduces a hybrid meta-heuristic optimization framework that advances energy-aware, sustainable cloud computing systems.
| The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending hearty congratulations to Dr. Sanaj on this exemplary research feat that equipps cloud providers with a clear blueprint to balance maximum performance with a significantly reduced ecological and financial impact !!! |
