CE department represents Vidya at SECON’26 conference with paper presentation

Vidya students gain valuable technical critiques and insights from field experts to refine and advance the study of innovative, sustainable structural systems by attending conferences

The Department of Civil Engineering proudly announces that Devika M. V. (S3 M Tech, CE Dept) successfully presented her research paper at the SECON’26 conference, held from June 3–5, 2026.Her paper, titled “Structural Performance of Cold-Formed Sigma Steel Concrete Composite Beam” (Paper ID: 115), was co-authored and supervised by Dr. Abhilasha P. S. (Prof, HoD, CE Dept)

Organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Ernakulam, the prestigious conference was backed by major industry bodies, including American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Indian Concrete Institute (ICI). Ms. Devika’s research into innovative, sustainable structural systems was shared with an audience of global academicians and industry professionals, earning valuable expert feedback.
