A Meaningful Beginning to a Promising Academic Journey ‘VIDYARAMBH’: AICTE-VIDYA Induction Training Programme for 2026-30 Batch students
Vidya Academy of Science and Technology has always believed that education extends beyond classrooms, laboratories and textbooks. With a nurturing campus environment, dedicated faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, computer centres, and a comprehensive library, Vidya strives to provide every student with an enriching and fulfilling educational experience.
The AICTE–VIDYA Induction Training Programme 2026 ‘VIDYARAMBH’ was organised with the vision of giving newly admitted students a warm and memorable beginning to their journey at Vidya. The programme aimed to familiarise students with the academic culture, institutional values, opportunities, responsibilities and expectations that accompany their life as members of the Vidya community. It also sought to strengthen the bond between students, parents, faculty and the institution.
The programme was held on 10 August 2026, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, management representatives, faculty members, parents and enthusiastic students.
The programme began with the graceful Rangapooja, creating an auspicious ambience and setting the stage for the day’s proceedings. This was followed by a prayer, invoking blessings for a successful and fruitful academic journey.
The gathering was formally welcomed by Dr. Sunitha C. (Principal) who extended a warm greeting to the newly admitted students and their parents. Her address highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, continuous learning and active participation in campus life. She encouraged the students to make the most of every opportunity and to grow not only as accomplished professionals but also as responsible and compassionate individuals.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration of the programme.
The Inaugural Address was delivered by Mr. Midhul P. R., (Tech Engineer, AMETEK Spectro Scientific). Drawing from his professional experience, he shared valuable insights and inspiring thoughts with the students. His address encouraged them to dream boldly, remain curious, develop relevant skills, and approach every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
A significant moment of the programme was the oath-taking ceremony, during which the newly admitted students pledged to uphold the values, discipline, responsibilities, and ideals of the institution. The oath marked their formal entry into the Vidya family and served as a reminder of the responsibilities that accompany their new academic journey.
The students were further inspired by the address of Mr. Suresh Lal ( Executive Director) who encouraged them to make their college years purposeful and productive. His words highlighted the importance of perseverance, discipline, adaptability, and active engagement in both academic and extracurricular activities.
Adding a strong career-oriented dimension to the programme, Mr. Paul Chakola (Head,Placement and Training) addressed the gathering on the significance of early career preparation. He emphasised the need for students to develop technical knowledge, communication abilities, professional skills, and a positive attitude from the very beginning of their academic journey.
The occasion was further enriched by the felicitations of Adv. P. N. Unnirajan (Retd. IPS), Director–Administration, VICT) and
Mr. Sudhan Karayil (PTA Vice President).Their presence and words of encouragement offered the students valuable motivation as they embarked on an important new phase of their lives.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Premanand B. (Convener-Induction Programme & HoD (ECE Dept) who expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, management, faculty members, parents, students and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
The inaugural session concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the proceedings to a dignified and patriotic close.The programme was coordinated by Mr. Anil Melepurath (Asst Prof- Seln Grade,ECE Dept) and Ms. Divya Unni (Asst Prof- Sr Grade,ECE Dept) who ensured a smooth and engaging flow of the proceedings
