A nostalgic reunion – Civil Engineering Batch 2012-2016
| Reconnecting, reliving memories, and celebrating lifelong bonds!
A nostalgic gathering brought together former students and faculty to reflect on past milestones, share career updates, and celebrate enduring ties with the institution. A cherished reunion of the Civil Engineering Batch 2012–2016 of Vidya was held on 30 August 2026 at Poomala Heights Resort. Bringing together alumni and their former teachers after several years, the gathering offered a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, revisit cherished memories, and celebrate the enduring bonds formed during their years at VAST. |
| The reunion was thoughtfully organized and coordinated by the batch representatives Abhijith P. Anil, Afsal Rasheed, and Jyothsna Muraleedharan. Bringing together batchmates from different places and schedules on a common date was a challenging task, and their dedicated efforts and meticulous coordination played a significant role in making the event a success. They also took the initiative to warmly invite their former teachers to join the celebration, adding a special dimension to the occasion. From the faculty side, Ms. Seetha Pisharikkel (Asst Prof, CE Dept) and Ms. Kalyani Vijayakumar (Asst Prof, CE Dept) provided continuous support and coordination throughout the planning and organizational process. Their involvement helped facilitate meaningful interaction between the alumni and faculty members. |
| Around 30 of the 71 batch members attended the gathering, along with approximately 12 faculty members. The faculty presence included Dr. Abhilasha P. S ((HOD, CE Dept) and Dr. Justine Jose C, who served as Head of the Department during the batch’s period of study, along with other faculty members associated with the batch. |
| The gathering was filled with warmth, laughter, and nostalgia as alumni and teachers shared experiences, exchanged stories, and looked back on memorable moments from their academic years. Conversations brought back memories of classrooms, campus life, friendships, projects, and the many experiences that shaped their journey at VAST. |
| The presence of the former teachers made the reunion particularly special. Their participation provided an opportunity for alumni to express their gratitude and reconnect with those who had played an important role in their academic and personal growth. The occasion beautifully reflected the strong and lasting bond shared among the students, teachers, and their alma mater. |
| The alumni get-together concluded on a memorable note, celebrating friendship, togetherness, shared memories, and the enduring connection with VAST. More than just a reunion, it was a heartfelt homecoming that brought old friends and mentors together and reaffirmed the lasting relationships built during their formative years at the institution. |
