Industrial Visit provides CSE students with an insight into the corporate world

To test the theoretical knowledge and to bridge the gap between theoretical and field knowledge, an Industrial Visit was held to S5 CSE B batch at  Spectrum Softtech Solutions Kochi  on 16 December 2022.

 Spectrum has been providing IT and IT enabled Services to a large pool of clients in India as well as globally, for more than 22 years. It had set up the first private sector IT Park in Kerala and has been the recipient of Export Excellence and  Award from Cochin Special Economic Zone, twice. They have wings for Software Development, E-Commerce Solution, HBPO Service, Data Center Solutions and Medical Transcription.

Talk on  IT career Trends and Technologies at Spectrum Softtech Solutions

 The session was an introduction to different job domains in IT such as data scientist, web developer, software engineer. A detailed interaction about various opportunities in the IT sector and how to focus in interested areas was discussed.The session was led by Mr Jibu John.

As many as 57 students participated in the programme.  The group tutors, Mr Sivadasan E T (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms Mithu Varghese (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) led the visit.

Though this industry visit, the  students were able to better identify their prospective areas of work in the overall organizational function.
