ADVIKA-2016 : Report on college arts festival

For Student Senate activities, the senate commitee was formed with representatives from students as well as staff. The office bearers of the Student Senate was elected on 1.09.16 and were sworn-in on 3-10 16.The college atrs festival programme was captioned ‘ ADVIKA-2016 ’ and was held on 3.10.16, 5.10.16(AN),27.10.16 and 28.10.16.

ADVIKA-2016, was conducted in two stages. The competitions were held separately for Calicut University and Kerala technological university on a department wise basis. Off-stage events were conducted on 3.10.16 and 5.10.16(AN) which included a variety of competitions like Essay Writing, Story Writing, Versification and Extempore in different languages, Debate, Collage, Quiz, Pencil Drawing, Cartoon Drawing, painting, Pookkalam, Rangoli, Embroidery, Clay Modelling, Photography, Poster Making and Aksharashlokam.

On-stage events were conducted on 27.10.16 (Day 1) & 28.10.16 (Day 2). The event schedule is shown below. The judges for all the events were selected from eminent personalities in that particular field. The Organising commitee faced major hiccups in sticking to time schedules due to the high spirit of students and nagging attitude of judges. Thus the programs could be completed only late on both these days.
