M Tech (Embedded Systems) student develops a new Advanced Driver Assist System
Baby K. A., S4 M.Tech. (Embedded Systems) student of the College, has developed a vision based Advanced Driver Assist System as part of her student project. The system has been implemented on an embedded platform. The system performs lane analysis on selected regions of the road to efficiently detect drifting of vehicle and controls the speed of the vehicle accordingly. It also monitors the alertness of the driver by analyzing the EEG signals. Altogether, the system ensures the complete safety of the vehicles using effective blend of modern technologies. The project was guided by Mr. Sojan Francis P. (AP, ECE), Mr. Ramesh C. R. (AP, ECE), Dr. S. Swapna Kumar (HoD, ECE) and Ms. Sruthi M. (AP, ECE) .
