ME students’ project awarded a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 in the Yuva Mastermind program
A team of final year B Tech (ME) students of the College secured a cash prize of Rs.30,000 for a project titled “Vertical Cradle” presented in the finals of the Yuva Mastermind programme organised by Malayala Manorama during 08-10.01.2018 at Younis Convention Centre, Aashraamam, Kollam. There were about 36 different projects for competition by students of various engineering colleges, nursing colleges, polytechnic colleges, schools, etc.
Mr. Alphons Kannanthanam, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Culture, and Tourism, was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony and he distributed the prizes to the winners in the various segments of the competition.
The whole program had been co-ordinated and supervised by the staff and the NSS volunteers of Amal Jyothi Engineering College, Kanjirapally, Kottayam. Two teams from the College, each consisting of five students, participated in the competitions. One of the team presented the the project “Vertical cradle”, which won a cash prize, and the other team consisting of third year B Tech (ME) students presented a project titled “v-oven”.
