NSS volunteers clean Puthukkad Railway Station

As part of the Swachh Bharat Initiative by the Government of India, the NSS units of Vidya organised a cleaning programme at Puthukkad Railway Station on 7th and 8th July 2018. The NSS volunteers cleaned the premises of  the  Railway Station and installed dust bins for dumping  garbage. They also planted saplings around  the Railway Station. As many as 40 NSS volunteers participated in the programme.

The programme was officially inaugurated by Ms. Ambili Sivarajan, Puthukkad Grama Panchayath President. Mr. Vijayakumar Puthukaatil (President, Train Passengers Association) presided over the function.  Mr. Harikrishnan (Station Master), Mr. Arun Lohithakshan (Secretary, Train Passengers Association), Mr. Limson Pallan (Joint Secretary), Mr.Vijin Venu (Treasurer) and Mr. John Chevidan attended the programme.
