Details of places where NSS volunteers conducted Rapid Visual Screening Survey

1. Pavaratty

As the part of the Flood Relief Works, the volunteers of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology NSS Technical Cell conducted Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Pavaratty Panchayat on 28th August 2018.  About  104 volunteers surveyed 227  flood affected houses. Volunteers also collected the details of electrical appliances damaged during the flood.

2. Avanoor

As part of Flood Relief  Works, the  NSS volunteers of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology conducted a  Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Avanoor panchayat from 27th to 30 August 2018. About 85 volunteers surveyed 171 houses. Details of electrical appliances damaged due to flood was also collected.

3. Guruvayur

Volunteers of  NSS Technical Cell of Vidya  conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at flood affected places of  Guruvayur Municipality  on 28th and  29th August 2018.  Volunteers divided into different groups and visited the flood affected houses and evaluated the condition of the houses. Volunteers also did the wiring and plumbing works in the affected houses. Nearly 119 houses was surveyed by 55 students. Details of electrical appliances damaged due to flood was also collected.

4. Adat

As part of  Flood  Rehabilitation Works,  NSS volunteers of Vidya  conducted Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Adat Panchayat on 28th and 29th August 2018. About 45 volunteers surveyed  85 flood affected houses and also collected the details damaged  electrical appliance due to flood.

5. Chalakkudy

NSS units of Vidya conducted Rapid Visual Screening Survey in collaboration with Chalakudy Municipality from 28.08.2018 to 30.08.2018. As many as 554 volunteers actively participated in the survey. Volunteers divided into different groups and  evaluated the condition of the flood affected houses. Volunteers also did the wiring and plumbing works in the affected houses. Nearly 5000 houses was surveyed by the students and also collected the details of damaged electrical appliances in the flood affected houses.

6. Manalur

As a part of Flood  Rehabilitation Works, the NSS Volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Manalur Panchayath from 28th August 2018 to 1st September 2018. About 30 volunteers visited flood affected houses and evaluated the  damages of the flood affected houses. Volunteers also collected the details of electrical appliances damaged during the flood. Volunteers completed the survey of about 413 houses in Manalur panchayath.

7. Erumapetty

As the part of the Flood  Rehabilitation Works, the NSS volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at  Erumapetty Panchayath on 29th and 30th August 2018 . About 53 volunteers were divided into groups and completed the survey of about 263 houses and also collected details about electrical appliances in the houses which are in need of repair due to flood.

8. Tholur

As the part of the Flood  Rehabilitation Works, the NSS volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Tholur gramapanchayath from 28th to 30th August 2018. As many as 108 NSS Volunteers visited the flood affected houses and completed the survey of about 235 houses.

9. Kaiparambu

On 29th and 30th of August 2018,  30  NSS volunteers of  Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Kaiparambu panchayath. Volunteers surveyed about 84 houses which were affected by flood and volunteers did small maintenance works in the flood affected houses.

10. Kunnamkulam

NSS volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Kunnamkulam Municipality on 30 August 2018. Municipal Vice chairman, Mr. P M Suresh addressed the volunteers and gave them the necessary directions. Around 34 volunteers completed the survey of 350 houses and also collected details on sanitation, waste management etc.

11. Chavakkad

NSS units of Vidya conducted a survey in collaboration with Chavakkad Municipality on 30.08.2018. About 554 NSS volunteers were divided into different groups and completed the survey of nearly 5000 houses. Volunteers collected details regarding damaged electrical appliances due to flood and also did small wiring and plumbing works in the affected houses.

12. Mulangunnathukavu

On 31st  August 2018 as a part of Flood Rehabilitation Works, NSS volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Mulangunnathukavu Grama Panchayath . As many as 35 NSS Volunteers took part in the survey. Panchayath Assistant Engineer  explained about the relevance of flood relief activities and gave instruction for the survey. Volunteers completed the survey of about 90 houses in that area.

13. Mathilakam

NSS units of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Kaipamangalam Panchayath from 31st August 2018 to 1st September 2018.  About 93 volunteers visited the  flood affected houses and evaluated the damages of the houses. Volunteers  collected details from 128 houses and listed the damaged electrical appliances.

14. Venkidangu

NSS volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Venkidangu Panchayath  on 31st August 2018 and 1st September 2018. Details from 913 flood affected houses in the Panchayath was collected by 115 students. Volunteers also collected details about the electrical appliances damaged due to flood.

15. Mullassery

NSS Volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Mullassery Gramapanchayath on 30th August to 1st September 2018. Volunteers visited the flood affected houses and collected the details of houses and the electrical appliances damaged due to flood. About 71 houses were surveyed by 29 volunteers.

16. Kaipamangalam

As a part of Flood Rehabilitation works, the NSS volunteers of of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening Survey at Kaipamangalam Panchayath on1 1st  September 2018.  About 20 volunteers visited flood affected houses and evaluated the damages of the houses.

17. Alappad

NSS Volunteers of Vidya conducted a Rapid Visual Screening at Alappad on 2nd September  2018. Volunteers analysed the damages of flood affected houses and collected details of the damaged electrical appliances due to flood.
