Karunyavum Karuthalum: NSS units extend services to Malappuram District

The NSS units of Vidya, Kidney Federation of India and E Moidu Moulavi Memorial Charitable Society jointly organised a three-day camp christened “Karunyavum Karuthalum” at Perumbadappu Grama Panchayat in Malappuram District during 19 – 22 September 2018. During the inaugural ceremony,  Mr Anil Melepurath (NSS Programme Officer), Ms Jameela (Block Panchayat President), and Mr Latheef Manakkad (MD, Good Hope School) addressed the volunteers.

As many as 86 NSS volunteers participated in the programme. The focus of the activities of the camp was a survey to identify persons who were suffering from cancer, heart and kidney related ailments and to provide them moral as well as financial support for medical treatments. The NSS volunteers were divided into groups and each group carried out the survey in different areas of Perumbadappu Grama Panchayat.  Ms Jameela appreciated the efforts of Mr Anil M  and the NSS volunteers for their service to the society through this camp.
