Vidya faculty and staff extend a helping hand to a colleague

Mr Joseph K T, Gardner engaged by the housekeeping contractor of the College, while doing gardening works in the lawn in front of Main Block of the College on 01 April 2019, slipped and fell into the drainage canal and cracked the hip joint of his left leg. He had to be admitted to the Amala Medical College Hospital for surgery. Being aware of the financial circumstances of Mr Joseph, the staff of the Engineering Wing of Vidya took the initiative to mobilise some money for providing some temporary relief to Mr Joseph and his family. An amount of Rs. 1,14,200 was collected from among the faculty and staff of Vidya and was handed over to Mr Joseph on 16 May 2019. He is recuperating from the surgery and has been advised to take rest for one more month.
