Vidya’s alumna shines in a leading role in Tamil movie

Ms Risha P Haridas, an alumna of Vidya of the B Tech (EEE)  2017 pass out batch, is getting noticed in the tinsel world of Tamil cinema for essaying one of the leading feminine characters in the Tamil movie Chiyangal directed by Vaigarai Balan. Ms Risha, a native of Mupliyam. Puthukkad, was very much involved in the activities of the NSS units of Vidya, and she had made her presence felt in the annual arts festival and competitions of Vidya.

Acccording to the Director of the film, “Chiyangal is based on the emotions faced by the elders in all our families. It has seven main characters, and each one will remind us of the old people we come across in our lives. The film conveys the message that if people have a strong will to fulfil their ambitions in their old age, even death will hold off until they achieve their goals.”
