ME Dept completes add-on course on Advanced MEP Design

The ME Dept of the College successfully organised an add-on course on “Advanced MEP Design For Mechanical Engineering – HVAC and Piping Module” during 20 June – 07 July 2019. MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering) is one of the major segments in the construction industry along with architectural and structural engineering disciplines. Organized under the auspices of Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of Vidya in collaboration with BIMIT CAD and BIM Training Services, Kochi, the course was of 96 hours duration and included Autodesk User Certification examination and NACTET Certificate on PG Diploma in MEP – HVAC Design. As many as 31 students of B Tech (ME) 2016 admissions batch successfully completed the course and the certification.

The experienced team from BIMIT CAD and BIM Training services under the leadership of Mr Viju Antony covered the various aspects of MEP and examination training with well-prepared study materials (two books, soft copies of other data) and AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Duct Sizer, Pipe Sizer, Beta Software packkages. They were able to create enthusiasm and interest among the students and also helped them to complete the online and offline examinations and the projects using Revit.
