NSS volunteers attend State-level camp on disaster management

Two NSS volunteers of Vidya (Sreehari Sasikumar and Fayas Mohammed)  attended the State Level Camp on Disaster Management: Resource Operation held at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, during  28 – 30 November 2019 .  Mr Naushad was the chief guest and he was honoured for his priceless service during the time of the great Keral floods.

On the first day, disaster management talks were organized by CUSAT. On the second day,  Mr Nikhil conducted physiological session based on disaster management. After the session, a team from Aster Medicity took classes based on emergency rescue operations. In the afternoon, there were classes on environmental and sustainable development and  the screening of a documentary based on Kerala floods.
On the last day of the camp, the participants wet through  a walking tour of the campus of the University. This was followed by classes on tent pitching. Later there was a mock drill by Kerala Fire Force from Perumbavoor.
