“VIDYARDHEEE” webinar by EEE Dept
The EEE Dept of Vidya organised a webinar, christened VIDYARDHEEE, on 4 September 2021 for students who have shown interest in joining the B Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme in Vidya. The title is suggestive of a student in VIDYA in the EEE programme.
The session started in the formal way and Ms Parvathi Haridas of S2 B Tech (EEE) welcomed the alumni and the participants. Dr Sudha Balagopalan and Dr Mary P Varghese (Head of EEE Dept) felicitated the participants. The program was organized by a team comprising Mr Vishnu Rach K R, Mr Praveesh V V, Ms Akhila R, Mr Arun Xavier, Ms Jisha P R and other members of staff of the Dept. The program was anchored by Ms Sonia Rose C P (AP, EEE Dept). Nearly 60 students participated in the event.

The following distinguished alumni spoke to the participants:
- Dr Nitin Padmanabhan, Consultant, NS Consulting, Canada
- Mr Yoonus M P, Regional Sales Manager, Peimar (Italian based solar panel Manufacturer) and founder of Safe Gear (first company formed at Dubai by a Vidya alumnus)
- Ms Sreelakshmi Ramadas, former Programming Analyst at CTS and currently residing in Sweden, second rank holder in B Tech (EEE) in Calicut University
The resource persons explained the opportunities available in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering field. They also shared their experience in Vidya and the support and motivation they received from the Colleg as well as the EEE Dept of Vidya both as a student and as an alumnus.
Mr Suraj Shaju was the top scorer in the Quiz.
