“Padheyam”: NSS Units’ unique gesture of donating food to inmates of an old age home

On 14 February 2022, the NSS Units of Vidya organized a programme titled “Padheyam” in which the NSS volunteers served nutritious midday meal prepared at their homes to the inmates of an old age home. The meal was served to the elderly persons staying at St Joseph’s Home, Pullazhy.

The volunteers prepared the food at their homes and transported to the College. The food was then collected by the coordinators at the College. The collected food was handed over to Fr Louis Edakkalathur by Volunteer Secretaries and class coordinators of NSS Units. Around 60 inmates were there at the old age home. Dr Saji C B, Principal, appreciated the efforts of volunteers for arranging such a programme for helping the inmates of the old age home.
