NDLI Activities by VAST Central Library

To instill a fondness for language among students and enhancing their significant thinking, reading, and writing skills, VAST Central library conducted 4 different porogrammes under the auspices of National Digital Library of India (NDLI) Club from 26 July – 05 August 2022  .

Name of the Event

1 SANSKRITHI – English Versification
2 SANSKRITHI – Short Story in English
3 AAVISHKAAR – Short Story in Malayalam
4 AAVISHKAAR – Malayalam Versification

As many as 35 students participated in the event. Neha Baju (S6, CSE Dept) , Neeraja Krishnakumar (S6, CSE Dept)  performed as the best in the categories of English Versification and English Short Story respectively. The creative writing of Neethu S  (S8, ECE Dept) and Adith Sivaraman  (S6, CE Dept) needs special mention in the groups of Malayalam Versification and Malayalam Short Story respectively.

National Digital Library of India (NDLI)

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is being  mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
