MCA Department continues it’s great tradition of annual charity work

The noble act  that the Dept of MCA is  helping others is hugely empowering and, in turn, makes the students and staff members  involved to feel more fulfilled.

The students and staff of the MCA Department of the College organised a visit to the Holy family home for the aged, Mannuthy, on 10 August 2022. This home, working under Congregation of the Holy Family (CHF), is presently an old age home for women.

The Home is a home to around 35 women, who do not have a family to depend on during the times of their old age. The ambience of the home conveyed that the inmates of the Home were well looked after. The main part of the work was a visit to the old age home and the donation of some daily-need grocery items. The money for purchasing the grocery was collected by donations from all students of the current S4 MCA (2020 admissions) batch. As a precaution to the COVID – 19, only a few representative students and staff members were present in the old age home to participate in the work. Dr Reji C Joy, (HoD, MCA Dept), Mr Sajay K R (Asso Prof, MCA Dept) and Ms Siji K B (Asst  Prof, MCA Dept) participated in the programme.

The Dept has been organizing such charity works for the past several years.

The office bearers of the Old age home represented by, Sr. Christy Maliekkal, abundantly thanked the students, the MCA Department and Vidya college for their noble act.

The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya family in extending Hearty Appreciations to MCA Dept for  their  noble gesture of  magnanimity !!!
