NSS units of  Vidya organize orientation session for newly enrolled NSS volunteers

NSS units of  Vidya provide opportunity to the student to take part in various community service activities and programmes. To provide hands-on experience to newly enrolled NSS Volunteers in different  community service programmes, Vidya NSS units organised an Orientation Session on 24  September 2022.

The program started with an assembly. Dr Saji C.B (Principal) addressed the session.Volunteers were given a brief idea about NSS and its activities (like Punarjani and Home for Homeless) and then they were divided into groups. Each group was asked to choose a group leader, a name and song for the group. The importance of flagship programmes like NRPF, KTU Care, Rudhirasena and Energy Cell were well explained to the Volunteers. Games and entertainments sessions  were also conducted.

Around 110 volunteers participated in the Orientation Session. Mr Rajesh S K (Programme Officer, NSS  and Asso Prof, EEE Dept) congratulated all the volunteers for their active participation. NSS Programme Officers  Mr Rajesh S K (Asso Prof, EEE Dept), Ms Chithra M (Asst Prof, CE Dept, Shine P Xavier (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms Sarika K T (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) co-rdinated the event.
