NSS units conduct orientation session on blood donation

In order to encourage youngsters for  blood donations, an  orientation session was conducted on 22 October 2022 for NSS volunteers . The session was handled  by Mr Ajithan (Operations Manager of HDFC Bank, Thrissur) who is a recipient of  State Award for donating  blood (68 times) .The topics include food culture, sleeping time, the  restrictions to be taken for being  an efficient blood donor were  shared by Mr Ajithan . He shared  these topics by giving real life examples and experiences.

He also gave information regarding various blood groups and their rarity. At the end of the session he made the volunteers to promise that they would donate blood to save lives. Forty  volunteers participated in the Orientation Session. The session serves as an important tool as it covers every aspect of the program and found to be helpful  to all those who are involved with the voluntary blood donation programme.
