GDSC begins a session on 30 Days of Cloud Programming

GDSC (Google Developer Students Club) with the ardent support of students gives immense opportunities to learn necessary skills for the tech enthusiasts by conducting hands-on practice on Google Cloud.

As part of Google Cloud Career Practitioner (GCCP) Campaign , GDSC conducted a virtual kickstart session  christened “30 Days of Cloud Programming : A Google Cloud Career Practitioner Campaign – Session 1” on 26 November 2022 from 7.00 PM to 8.30 PM through Google meet.

The session was handled by Jesto K J (S5 ECE Dept and Co-Lead GDSC VAST). The GCCP campaign will provide students an opportunity to kickstart their learning on Cloud technology, and implement the learning by enabling them to build projects on  Google Cloud console. As part of this journey, the campaign will also help to prepare for Google Cloud Certifications.

Jesto has been selected as the facilitator from the campus for the GCCP campaign and is getting trained from the GCCP team. He will be assisting students from Vidya to complete the programme. The primary aim was to give an exposure to cloud technologies which will help students to kick start 30 Days of Google Cloud Programming.The session was delivered through Google meet which was a one and a half hour introductory session.

Gayathri Satheeshkumar (S7 CSE Dept and Lead GDSC, VAST) welcomed the gathering and gave a brief idea about the training that the facilitator has been receiving from the GCCP team. The primary aim was to give an exposure to cloud technologies which will help students to kick start 30 Days of Google Cloud Programming. There will be follow up sessions for the enrolled students in the upcoming weeks. Abel John (S7 CSE Dept and Web Lead) hosted the event. The event was co-ordinated by  Ms Mahalakshmy A (Asst Prof, CSE Dept and Faculty Advisor GDSC VAST) under the guidance of Dr Ramani Bai V (HoD, CSE Dept)

Participants got an idea about the quests, cloud console, how to redeem their credits, various cloud technologies and scopes of cloud computing. 65 students who are enrolled in the cloud programme attended the session.
