Vidya NSS Volunteer Secretary attends South Zone PRD Parade Camp 2022

To select the participants to the prestigious Republic Day parade camp 2022, the Zonal level NSS Pre-Republic Day (PRD) Camps were conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. Pre-Republic Day (PRD) Camp is organized prior to Republic Day Camp in order to select NSS Volunteers who are best in Parade and cultural activities.

Our student P Tarun Kumar (NSS Volunteer Secretary, S5, EEE Dept) got selected and  attended  the South Zone PRD Parade Camp 2022 conducted at Swami Saswathikananda College, Poothotta during 09- 18 November 2022. The  Camp was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sabu Thomas (Hon. Vice Chancellor, M G University). Ceremony was followed by greetings from program coordinator of MG University, College Principal and POs of SS College Poothotta. After the ceremony cultural program was conducted.

The volunteers were imparted training in leadership development, and (March-Past) parade apart from attending  various socio-cultural programmes. In included Morning Assembly, Yoga, Physical Training, Community Singing, Parade Practice, Lectures, Discussions, Quiz, Debate and evening Cultural programmes. The day in R.D. Camp begins in early morning from 6 am and extended upto 10 pm. Flag hoisting was led by different states like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu The officials  from Delhi paid a visit to the camp and appreciated the  skills and talents of the Volunteers and wished great success. Dr R Bindu (Hon. Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice) addressed the gathering in the valedictory session conducted on 17 November 2022 .
