School students explore their scientific temper through multifarious display of projects at ‘Sci – Π’
Vidya witnessed the scientific and innovative temper among the talented school students with multitudinous, display of projects based on Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Craft at the most prestigious event, ‘
‘.
The brightest minds, studying from high school to plus two category, experimented with their knowledge on 19 January 2023 in Vidya, that provided them different opportunities to showcase their skills through scientific, socio – economical and creative thinking in Still and Working Model categories.
More than 300 students presented their innovative ideas with around 100 Projects under different categories in the exhibition. The participants showcased their scientific insight through a number of innovative projects based on the themes like Resource Management, Agriculture & Organic Farming, Health & Cleanliness, Transport & Communication, Digital & Technological Solutions, Waste Management and Mathematical Modeling and many more.
Cash prizes worth 45k were distributed by Dr Saji C B (Principal) for the winners and runners-up, with the final judging taking into account of the effectiveness of creativity, clarity, and accuracy. Amritha Vidyalayam, Ayyanthole bagged the Outstanding Trophy for the active participation in terms of maximum number of students participated in the event . The team VIBE (Vidya Initiative for Better Engineering) organized the program with Dr Nisha A B (Asso Prof, App Sc Dept) , Ms Divya Unni (Asst Prof, ECE Dept), and Ms Ardra P Nair (Asst Prof, CE Dept) as the co-ordinators supported by the core team, Vidya staff members and student volunteers .
