Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights

With an objective to give an insight to Faculty and students about intellectual property rights and its role in strengthening innovation, a session on IPR – Intellectual Property Rights was conducted under the aegis of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) on 23 February 2023.

The session was started with a welcome address by Jeeva H M (S6 ECE Dept). Dr Saji C B (Principal), in his inaugural address, gave enlightening insights about the need for protection and the significance of IPR in the research and commerce ecosystems. Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept) addressed the gathering.

The session was handled by Mr Anoop K Joy (Deputy Controller of Patents and Designs, Patent office, Chennai). Mr Anoop pointed out that the Patent law has become the need of the hour in developing new ideas and technologies. The session encouraged the Faculty and students  to be part of the progress of the country by patenting new ideas and technologies.The event was co-ordinated by Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept) .
