Vidya’s ourtreach programme with Kaiparambu Grama Panchayat and Kudumbasree

Vidya conducts Career Planning Sessions which  plays a crucial role and can assist an individual to manage the direction the  students aspires their career to take, the know-how and job skills and how they can achieve them.

With this aim, as an outreach programme and as an extension of the activities of VIBE (Vidya Initiative for Better Engineering),Vidya in association with Kaiparambu Grama Panchayat and Kudumbasree Unit hosted an awareness session on ‘Engineering and Placement Opportunities’ on 10 April 2023.Ms Ushadevi Teacher (President,Kaiparampu Grama Panchayat) inaugurated the seminar held at Kaiparamp Gram Panchayat Hall. Ms Rejusha (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) welcomed the gathering.Ms Sindhu Prakashan (Community Development Society (CDS) Member) gave felicitation.

Dr Jiby Jose (HoD, App Sc Dept ) led a session on ‘Engineering Studies’ with a focus on deciding their  career goals and employ a career strategy. Mr Alex Chacko (Asst Prof, ME Dept) handled a session on “Engineering and Career Opportunities’.

Rahna K Rajeev (S8, CE Dept) and Abhishek Anilkumar (S8, ME Dept) who got jobs in banking sector, shared their experiences. The students, Ann Maria Ajay Lazar (S8, ECE Dept), and Manu Mohan (S8, EEE Dept), who placed in unique technical fields shared their placement experiences and explained various work processes.They have got placements in Federal Bank, Hutt Labs, Tata Consultancy, Sutherland,Quest Global,Chegg India and Innovacher

Nandakishore T (S8, CSE Dept) who placed in various companies that include Sutherland, Quest Global, Chegg India and Innovacher shared his experience of getting a job in four reputed software companies with the audience as a direct testimony to the career opportunities in the engineering field. Ann Maria Ajay Lazar (S8, ECE Dept) proposed vote of thanks. The programme was anchored by Ms Fetsy K Francis (Asst Prof, ECE Dept). Ms Sheena V Y (Placement Dept) co-ordinated  the session.

The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity  in extending hearty appreciation to the speakers, Ms Sheena and all involved on the successful conduct of the event which overwhelmed the participants in order to assist them in improving and carrying out important employment and career decisions !!!.
