World Environment Day : Peruvanmala Restoration Drive by NSS Volunteers

Every effort in the right direction from us will help collectively improve the environment and restore our Earth.Vidya NSS Volunteers engaged themselves in the effort to protect and restore the earth by conducting a cleaning drive at Peruvanmala,Thalakottukara on 04 June 2023 as part of commemorating the World Environment Day.

Volunteers actively involved in the cleaning process.Around 20 volunteers participated in the activity.The restoration drive was co-ordinated by Mr Ranjith E R (NSS Programme Officer and Asst Prof, ME Dept).

World Environment Day

On 5 June every year, we commemorate World Environment Day to spread awareness about conserving our mother Nature as well as burning issues such as climate change, water pollution, air pollution, overpopulation, global warming, and every other issue affecting our environment. The year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of World Environment Day and Theme for the World Environment Day 2023 is under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution, ‘Ecosystem Restoration’
