Vicennial Celebrations

Last two decades witnessed  tremendous growth of science and technology globally, making remarkable advances in many specialized areas. Vidya Academy of Science and Technology has been in the forefront since 2003 giving quality technical education to the youth enabling them to take charge of the challenges poised due to the explosive growth of science and  technology .

Vidya International Charitable Trust with its vision “Progress through Education” started its operations in the year 2001 launching a state-of-the art IT training center  (VTDC) at Thrissur city. In 2002 laid the foundation stone for the Engineering college ‘Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, which then commenced its operations in 2003 with 4 branches (CSE,EEE, ECE & ME) and 240 students. Presently with more than 2500 students in  6 B Tech, 2 M Tech and MCA courses, Vidya has become one of the most sought after colleges in the state under self financing category.

VAST Thrissur has made long strides in every sphere and has carved a special niche for itself in the field of education. VAST Thrissur turns 20 years in this year 2023 with a sole mission to enable our  students to make themselves successful in their professional field by promote learning and enrichment of knowledge starts from their first year.

On the successful completion of 20 years (2003-2023) of service in line with our vision “Progress Through Education”, Vidya proudly celebrate the occasion with an array of activities that include inaugural function of ‘Vicennial Celebrations’ and launching of Vidya’s “Strategic Framework” aiming at the viable further growth of VAST and to solidify its position in the technical education landscape of the future with special focus on developing Vidya as a Centre of excellence for Technical Education.

Mr Sabu Saumian (Chairman, VICT), Mr Gireesh Kumar Malattiri (Vice Chairman, VICT),Er Manu Raghurajan (Secretary, VICT), Mr Shaji T G (Treasurer,VICT) and senior functionaries of VICT and a host of distinguished personalities will grace the occasion.
