Curtain raiser of Vicennial Celebrations started with ‘Press Meet’ at Press Club
To communicate the updates, solicit feedback and to share our happiness on the upcoming Vidya’s Vicennial Celebrations and to make awareness about Vidya‘s successful completion of 20 years (2003-2023) of service in line with vision “Progress Through Education”, a press meet was conducted on 23 June 2023 at the Press Club, Erumappetti.
Ms Surabhi M S (Asst Librarian & Media Co-ordinator) did the opening announcement and extended warm welcome to all the attendees representing different print and electronic media.
Dr Saji C B (Principal) shed light on the long journey of Vidya since its inception in 2003. The Principal also informed about the array of activities that are being planned in connection with ‘Vicennial Celebrations’ and the launching of Vidya’s “Growth Oriented Strategic Framework” intending at the sustainable further progress of VAST. Dr Saji also explained about the milestones that have been achieved during 2003-2023 that include more than 70 University Rank Students of Vidya, Placement of Students, accomplishments in Arts and Sports, quality conduct of Tech Fests, Various Recognitions and Awards received, developing socially relevant projects, National and State Awards for NSS Unit, commendable contributions through Vidya IEDC, Vidya Research Center, Vidya Talent Center, and Vidya Social Empowerment Center etc.
Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (Rtd) ( Director-Administration) spoke about the Vicennial Celebrations and updated the media about VICT and its philosophy of selfless service to the society.The Director also explained about the various initiatives by the TRUST, including financial supports to deserving students by way of scholarships.
Ms Divya Radhakrishnan (Associate – Finance and Administration), Ms Reshmi Vasanth (HR Manager) also have attended the press meet.
All the print and electronic media personnel were invited to attend the ‘Vicennial Celebrations’.
