Vidya NSS units bag first prize in Mega Tree Plantation Drive

To raise alertness about degrading environmental situations and encourage people to take positive actions, NSS units of Vidya actively have been involving  in various activities.

NSS units of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur observed the World Environmental Day on 02 June 2023  with an initiative of   “Mega Tree Plantation Drive”. As part of ‘Natural Resource Protection Force, the drive was successfully held at different areas of Velur Panchayat. It is observed that 201 saplings were planted and tagged by Vidya NSS volunteers.

Recently, the Natural Resource Protection Force announced the state level prize for the Mega drive.  It is with much pride, the NSS units are sharing the news that Vidya Academy of Science And Technology,Thrissur (VAST) secured the first position.
