Vidya Skill Centre Training offers a means for helping children with autism

Autistic students at ‘Thalir Buds Rehabilitation Center‘ are delighted to have made their own LED bulbs during a job training workshop that was designed to help autistic children develop important life skills through interesting activities.

More than 30 students of Thalir Buds Rehabilitation Center for the differently abled, enthusiastically participated in the LED bulb training workshop jointly organized by Velur Gram Panchayat and Skill Center of Vidya on 03 July  2023.

Such exemplary workshops are being organized with the aim of eliminating to some extent the difficulties of such children in social interaction and communication.Mr T R Shobi (Velur Gram Panchayat President) inaugurated this initiative. Ms Shirley Dilip Kumar (Chairperson,Standing Committee on Welfare), Ms Sheji Prakash (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept)  and Mr Arun P R (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept)  spoke on the occasion. The program was presided over by Mr Jose (School PTA President). Student Anjali Sivadas proposed vote of thanks.

Ms Sheji Prakash (Trade Instructor, ECE Dept)  and Mr Arun P R (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept)  led the workshop. The initiative  was co-ordinated by Mr Anil M (Head,Vidya Skill Center and Asst Prof, ECE Dept).
