Vidya students to compete for IEEE Smart Village IdeaRun 2023 conference
It resonances simple and yet is truly worth mentioning; the excellent way to get students’ work accepted is to target it to a prestigious conference.
With an aim to generate local livelihood opportunities through the productive use of technology in underserved communities, IEEE Smart Village – South Asia Working Group (ISV SAWG) had invited Student Project Ideas contest ‘IdeaRun: Pitch Your Idea’.
Vidya students presented their project ideas in the contest that adapted to creative use of technology to serve the underserved through online mode during 08-09 July 2023.
Entering into the next phase of IdeaRun the following teams have been shortlisted for conference presentation . The team will be further mentored by experts from ISV SAWG and the team will present their improved proposals in the ISV Conference at Bhubaneswar on 10-11 August 2023. IdeaRun 2023 jury has declared an award worth Rs 5000 to the team. The team will perform oral and poster presentations in the ISV conference on 11 August at ITER Bhubaneswar. ISV SAWG will extend more assistance through its student centers in the future.Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics and Lead – Vocational Awareness, ISV South Asia WG) provided all sort of technical advice to the students.
