Placement and Internship (2019 – 23 batch Students)

At Vidya, we make every effort to sharpen the technical and analytical skills of our students through different kinds of placement training that focuses on state-of-the-art technological aspects in their respective disciplines. The endeavor and enthusiasm of Vidya staff members and Training & Placement Cell (T & P) are very much appreciable.

The T & P Cell, headed by Mr Paul Chakola, under the guidance of Dr Saji C B (Principal) have been taking a number of measures to ensure that students get properly placed.

Students of Vidya, continue to bag excellent placement offers from companies across the country during the year 2022-23. This year we witnessed a slump in the job market due to the economic recessionary trends – an impact of the post COVID scenario, and the Ukraine war. However, the student community rose to the occasion and under the able tutelage of their guides, tutors, and mentors.

An interesting aspect of 2019 – 23 batch students is that several students have availed placement with a final semester internship with stipend. This is a new regulation introduced by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University for the B. Tech students of the B. Tech 2019 regulations. Grabbing this opportunity with open arms several students have undergone internship with a placement offer from the companies like IBM, TCS AI Labs, SOTI, Anora Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd., etc with salary in the range of Rs. 4.5 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh per annum. They would be provided with a stipend per month during their internship.

There are more recruitment drives in the pipeline and the recruitment processes of several companies are in various stages of completion, results would be declared over the next couple of weeks.
