Vidya welcomes Dr Sunitha C as new Vice Principal

Welcoming a Vice Principal marked as an exhilarating time for Vidya community.

The appointment of Dr Sunitha C (HoD, AIML Dept) to the position of Professor with additional responsibility of Vice Principal, will offer an ideal opportunity for fresh ideas and educational attitude to be initiated into the institution with the support from all.

After graduating in Computer Science and Engineering from Govt Engineering College (GEC) Thrissur, Dr Sunitha secured M Tech from CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology).Dr Sunitha was awarded PhD degree for the thesis titled “A Pragmatic Approach Towards Automatic Summarization of Malayalam Documents using Clause Identification and Sentence Framing Method ” on 29 December 2021 from B S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology (deemed to be University).

A fervent teacher, with almost 25 years of experience, Dr Sunitha has spent conveying the right knowledge and proficiency to the students properly at her level best. She has contributed enormously in various capacities towards the development of the institution with various positions including that of NBA Institutional Co-ordinator, Vidya Students Support Cell (VSSC) Co-ordinator, HoD I/c, CSE Dept. She has co-ordinated several workshops , seminars, Conferences etc and served as Resource person for quite a few workshops.During her tenure,Dr Sunitha,co-ordinated numerous honored events that include Graduation Ceremony, Scholarship Function, DB Day and Brahmasmrithi.

Prior to joining Vidya in August 2003 as lecturer in CSE Dept, Dr Sunitha, has served as lecturer in different polytechnique institutions. Dr Sunitha has got many publications to her credit in national and International journals . She also presented papers in various national / International Conferences.
