The virtual realm burst with energy and enthusiasm as the Google Developer Students Club (GDSC) VAST hosted its orientation session on 27 August 2023 at 7:30 PM. Through an online Google Meet orientation session, students embarked on a new chapter, brimming with learning opportunities and a vibrant sense of community.
The collaborative efforts of GDSC VAST and the Computer Science and Engineering Department laid the foundation for a vibrant student community at Vidya. Dr Ramani Bai (HoD, CSE Dept) Department along with Ms Mithu (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) and GDSC’s dedicated faculty advisor, honored the occasion with their presence, bestowing their blessings and wholehearted support. Demonstrating consistent fervor, the GDSC community at Vidya has consistently brought students together from all corners of the institution. Esteemed alumni, including Gayathri Satheeshkumar (GDSC Lead, 2022-23) now an Associate Engineer at Litmus7, and Ciril P Thomas (GDSC Lead, 2020-21), currently a Software Engineer at QBurst, shared inspiring stories of GDSC’s transformative power. Gayathri highlighted GDSC’s collaborative problem-solving approach, fostering coordination among students statewide. Ciril illuminated GDSC’s role as a hub for peer-driven learning, offering invaluable skill development and networking prospects. Taking the lead for 2023-24, Jesto K J (S7 ECE B) presented upcoming events and opportunities.GDSC VAST also introduced Shreya Dilip (S5 CSE B), who will facilitate the Google Cloud Study Jam 2023.
Shreya’s presentation highlighted the upcoming course and Google Skill Boost Platform, igniting excitement among participants. With the stage set for a promising chapter, GDSC VAST 2023 embarks on its journey, fueled by determination and a shared thirst for knowledge and excellence. As the virtual event concluded, echoes of enthusiasm and inspiration lingered, uniting students in their pursuit of growth.
