IEEE Smart Village to conduct online workshop on 14 October 2023
Vidya provides fundamental supports to the deserving children from underserved communities by holding various improvement activities under the auspices of VSEC and IEEE Smart Village (ISV) which are adapted to provide technological solutions to provide sustainable livelihood for these communities. Vidya is selected as Student Centre for IEEE Smart Village (ISV) to spread such activities. Now we work in Thrissur, Tirunelveli (TN) and Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) with the student centre support.
Dr Sudha Balagopalan was honored with the role as Lead – Vocational Awareness, ISV South Asia WG as a testimony of her exemplary efforts in leading all kinds of ISV initiatives. Another face of IEEE Smart village South Asian Working Group, is mentoring & implementing student projects for empowering underserved communities via sustainable livelihood creation through adaptation of technology which has also started. Last time the call was shared with the entire college and Vidya put up 7 projects and one got awarded and another selected for poster presentation.
On popular request the ISV is planning to open an online workshop for training staff members and students.
