NSS conducts Mega Blood Donation Camp Sanjeevanam 2.0
To uphlod the needy community and to encourage blood donation among the youth, a Mega Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted by volunteers of NSS in coordination with Govt. Medical College Hospital, Thrissur on 03 October 2023.
The event witnessed a healthy participation of student volunteers. The blood donation campaign commenced at 9:00 am and continued till 1:00 pm. The students actively participated in the blood donation campaign and the total number of 102 students donated their blood.
The Sanjeevanam Programme was aimed at creating awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging more people to donate blood. The hospitals provided all the necessary medical support for the event. The programme was conducted under the guidance of faculty coordinators Rajesh S K,Renjith E R and Sarika KT (NSS Programme Officers). They were instrumental in making the programme function smoothly. The event was coordinated by NSS volunteers who took care of the logistics including registration, blood donation, and post-donation care of the donors.
