CE Dept celebrates Association Day 2023-24 with much fervor and zeal

The CE Dept Association activities, since its commencement, aid the students to expand their potential and teamwork by organizing various technical and alumni talks, seminars and workshops.

The CE Dept organised a programme named ‘CE Association day’ on 17 October 2023. The program aimed to celebrate various achievements from last academic year, followed by technical talk and cultural events. Anna Zam Kottayil (S7, CE Dept) served as the master of ceremony of the function. The event began with a traditional rangapooja, symbolising the auspiciousness of the occasion.After the energetic performance Irene K B (S7, CE Dept) delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for the event. Dr. Abhilasha P S, (HoD, , CE Dept) delivered a significant presidential address. After the presidential address Dr Saji C B (Principal) delivered an inaugural speech. Followed by Dr. Saji CB officially inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp , along with the dignitaries present . After the inauguration Athul Krishna K V (S7, CE Dept) provided an overview of the department’s achievements in the previous academic year.

Mr Kiran Babu A R (Association co-ordinator and Asst Prof, ECE Dept) shared the department’s plans for the upcoming year.After sharing the plan, the association panel members was officially introduced , President – Athul Krishna K V (S7 CE A) , Secretary – Irene K B (S7 CE B),Treasurer – Krishna Bhadran P S (S7 CE B),Joint secretary – Neeraj P Sunil (S5 CEB),Vicepresident – Aparna P S (S5 CE A),Tech fest coordinator – Athul N ( S7 CE A),Arts captian (Alpha)- Anett Rose K T (S7 CE A),Arts captian( Beta)- Sreeranjini Sreekumar ( S7 CE B),Sports captain – Adharsh K S (S7 CE A)Media head- Nishanth K P (S7 CE B).

Dr. Abhilasha solemnly administered the oath to the association members, emphasising their com- mitment to the organisation’s core values . After the pledge , Outstanding students and achievements were recognized and awarded during this segment. Dr. Sudha Balagopalan (Dean, Academics) and Dr. Sunitha C (Vice Principal and Head of AIML) were felicitated for their contributions . After the interesting speech, Alphy Anto (S7, CE Dept) delivered a vote of thanks to acknowledge all participants and contributors . The most awaited technical talk based on the scopes of civil engineering in private and public services was delivered by Er Unnikrishnan K V (retired Executive Engineer the Irrigation Department) . The event was concluded with vibrant cultural events where all attendees contributed and enjoyed the pure delight moments.
