AIML students mesmerize the audience with an array of activities during Dept Association Day 2023

The activities of AIML Association started with great vigor with an aim to inspire the student to create more milestones in the future. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) organized the Association Day event on 12 October 2023. The event brought together a distinguished gathering, including  Dr Saji C B (Principal), Dr Sunitha C (Vice Principal and HoD, AIML Dept), Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (retired) (Administrative Director, VICT), dedicated faculty members, and enthusiastic students from the AIML department.

The programme commenced with a vibrant rangapooja performed by Sreevidya P S (S3,AIML Dept) and Swathy Parameshwaran (S3, AIML Dept) setting an auspicious tone. A warm welcome speech was delivered by Ms Aparna S Balan (Association Staff Co-ordinator, Asst Prof, AIML Dept) leading to the proceedings of the day. Dr Sunitha presided over the event, and Dr Saji C B inaugurated the program. The event included the unveiling of the new AIML association logo by the Media Team, followed by a captivating video showcasing highlights from the previous academic year.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new association members took place, and the newly elected president, Shahzad Bin Mohammed, presented an action plan for the academic year 2023-24.

The day also featured a prize distribution for the top performers (Rahul K – First Topper, O Varadha Vijay Menon – Second Topper, Cilla E J & Mr Joise S Arakkal – Third Toppers) in the first-year university results, recognition for outstanding achievements in sports, and the distribution of add-on course completion certificates. Adv. P N Unnirajan IPS (retired) (Administrative Director, VICT) offered felicitations, and former association president Karthik M Gireesh expressed gratitude and proposed vote of thanks.

Furthermore, a technical talk on “The everyday influence of AIML in our lives” was conducted by Nadeem Mohammed Noorudeen (S3, AIML Dept), Winnie Rose (S3, AIML Dept) and Mr Jasim Shadeej (S3, AIML Dept). The day concluded on a colorful note with a cultural program that showcased the diverse talents within the AIML community.
