AIML S4 students witness the boundless possibilities of AI Engineering with valuable insights during their Industrial Visit
In an endeavor to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology organized an Industrial Visit (IV) for its Second year students to Wonderla Water Theme Park on 07 March 2024.The IV was co-ordinated by Ms Anju KP (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms Jiji P J(Asst Prof, AS Dept).
Wonderla Kochi is one of the largest amusement parks in India, known for its thrilling water rides and attractions. Located in Kochi, Kerala, it offers a variety of rides for all ages, including water slides, wave pools, and high-speed rides.The industrial visit provided valuable insights into the management, operations, and customer service practices of Wonderla Water Theme Park which in turn helped the students to get in depth knowledge on how AI related tools have a significant impact on latest technologies. This IV helped us to understand how efficiently technologies are used in such amusement parks where lakhs of people come daily to explore the amusement park.
Besides that the manner in which the softwares are used to function the rides gave practical knowledge with latest technologies. From traditional technical practices to cutting-edge AI technology, students witnessed the unlimited possibilities of AIML Engineering in unraveling the splendid technology of this era. The interactive session provided invaluable insights into AI based technologies, inspiring students to explore the frontiers of AIML Engineering.
The industrial visit served as a catalyst for holistic learning, propelling students beyond the four walls of classrooms . Through hands on experiences and interactions with industry, students gained insights about the AI and AI based technologies which without any doubt inspired and enriched them to make use of the insights in their professional journey.
