Empowering Vidya’s aspiring engineers with a platform to present their creative ideas and turn theoretical learning into practical impact will foster confidence and innovation.
INNOFEST
INNOFEST provided an exceptional platform for the talented minds of Vidya to come together and showcase their creativity and technical expertise under one roof on 24 M. Organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) in collaboration with ISTE, the Institution of Engineers – IE(I), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), the event encouraged young innovators to present their projects, reflect their learning journey and demonstrate their potential.
The expo showcased over 300 projects in both mini and main categories, covering a broad spectrum of core and emerging engineering disciplines. It highlighted the remarkable creativity and technical expertise of the students.Several projects stood out for their real-world applicability, with some receiving encouragement for incubation and transformation into start-up initiatives. The exhibits featured interactive displays, including prototypes and live demonstrations, creating an immersive learning experience. Projects were assessed by a panel of experts on parameters such as innovation, creativity, technical proficiency, and practical relevance.
Panel of Distinguished Jury & Expansive Insights
A distinguished panel of experts conducted a thorough evaluation of the participating teams, considering parameters such as innovation, practical implementation, and societal and economic impact. Judges from diverse engineering backgrounds provided meaningful insights and feedback, helping participants refine their ideas. Projects were assessed based on their novelty, poster presentation, clarity of explanation, and working demonstrations
Rewarding innovation and excellence with a prize pool of Rs 1,00,000.
The event culminated in a grand recognition of the most innovative projects across disciplines including AIML, CE, CSE, EEE, ECE, ME and MCA. The winners were honored with certificates and prizes worth Rs 1,00,000, acknowledging their creativity, technical excellence, and dedication

The valedictory function was attended by Mr G.S. Prakash (Joint Director, MSME-Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Thrissur). Mr Prakash delivered valuable advice to the participants. He spoke about the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting its challenges and the importance of identifying root causes while solving problems. His insights provided guidance and motivation for aspiring entrepreneurs. The valedictory function was attended by dignitaries including Dr. Sunitha C (Principal), Dr. Jeeva K A (HoD, AIML Dept), Dr. Abhilasha P S (HoD, CE Dept), Dr Sajay K R (HoD, CSE Dept), Dr. Mary P Varghese (HoD, EEE Dept), Dr. Reji C Joy (MCA), Dr.Rakesh Hari (HoD, ME Dept), Mr. Anil M, Mr. Sarath Babu Ramachandran, and Mr. Vishnu Shaji.
