Orientation Programme for 19th Batch of MCA Students
The Department of Computer Applications, VAST, organized an orientation programme on 11 September 2024 to welcome the 19th Batch of MCA students. The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Reji C Joy (HoD, MCA) who greeted the newly admitted students, their parents, and the distinguished gathering The presidential speech was delivered by Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) who congratulated the new students on their choice to pursue MCA and emphasized the significance of this academic journey.
The programme’s inaugural address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. V. N. Krishnachandran (Former Vice Principal and Head of the MCA Department).Felicitations were offered by Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT) and Adv. P.N Unnirajan (Retd IPS) Director-Administration, VICT). A special invitee Ms Sneha C J (2022–24, MCA batch) also shared her experience and words of encouragement with the fresh batch. Dr Sajay K R (Asso Prof, MCA) proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme continued with an informative session on the placement scenario, led by Mr Paul Chackola (Head, Training & Placement). Chief Guest. Dr. V. N. Krishnachandran, then shared insights into the MCA Department highlights and future prospects. He enlightened the audience on the department rich history and academic achievements.
Mr. Rajeev Nair (S3, MCA batch) and Ms. Nazneen Badusha (S3, MCA batch) presented an overview of the college and department facilities. During this session, the Department faculty and staff were introduced to the parents. The rules and regulations of the college were clearly explained by Dr Reji C Joy.
