Cleanliness drive at Cheppara Rock Garden by NSS Units

With an aim to raise awareness among NSS volunteers and the local community about the importance of keeping public spaces clean and as part of the Swachhatha Hi Seva (SHS) initiative, the  NSS Unit organized a large-scale cleaning drive at Cheppara Rock Garden on 02 October 2024, coinciding with National Service Scheme (NSS) Day.

A total of 20 enthusiastic volunteers from our NSS unit participated in the event. Their efforts were focused on cleaning up the Cheppara Rock Garden, a popular local attraction that has suffered from waste accumulation due to visitor activity. The volunteers worked diligently to remove litter, collecting approximately 5 kilograms of plastic waste, which was later disposed of responsibly.

The cleaning drive was expertly coordinated by NSS Volunteer Secretaries Aswathy E S (S5, CSE Dept), Mrithyunjay R (S5, EEE Dept), NistalK Paul (S5, ME Dept) and Aruna R Menon (S5, CSE Dept). Mr Rajesh S K (NSS Program Officer and Asso Prof, EEE Dept), Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, CSE Dept) led the activities.
