Training Session on My Bharath Portal for NSS Volunteers

Vidya NSS units have been conducting training sessions with an  aim to familiarize volunteers with the features of the portal and encourage registration, allowing them to contribute to youth development and empowerment programs across India. 

a training session on the My Bharath Portal was successfully conducted for the NSS volunteers at Vidya on 02 November 2024, as part of the MeraYuva Bharat initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The session was attended by around 85 enthusiastic NSS volunteers.

The My Bharath Portalis is an initiative dedicated to fostering the development and empowerment of India’s youth by connecting them to various opportunities for social engagement, volunteering, and skill development. The portal serves as a platform to track volunteer activities, organize and participate in events, and contribute to national service projects.

The session commenced with the inspirational song Manavageetham, setting a motivational tone for the program. Mr. Ranjith E R (Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer, Asst  Prof ME Dept)  led the training session. He provided a detailed explanation of the MY-Bharath Portal, highlighting its functionalities, the process of registration, and the significance of being a part of this platform for volunteers to track and participate in various national and social initiatives.The portal serves as a centralized hub for tracking volunteer activities, participating in scheduled events, and accessing resources related to national development. Registration on the portal allows volunteers to connect with a wide range of opportunities, collaborate with other like-minded individuals, and contribute to community service projects.

After the presentation, the attendees were guided through the registration process, with many volunteers successfully registering on the My Bharath Portal.

The session was expertly coordinated by NSS Volunteer Secretaries Aswathy E S (S5, EEE Dept), Devika Mothilal (S5, EEE Dept), ArdraShanmughan (S5, EEE Dept) and Aruna R Menon (S5, CSE Dept)   Their diligent efforts, under the guidance of faculty coordinators Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer, Asst  Prof ME Dept), Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer, Asst  Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms. Anu Maria Antony (NSS Program Officer, Asst  Prof, CE Dept) ensured the smooth execution and success of the program.
