MCA Association Day sparks Enthusiasm, Unity, and Innovation

Vidya Computer Application Association (ViCA) fosters academic collaboration, professional networking, and holistic development among students  by organizing talks and various programmes.

The Department of Computer Applications successfully organized MCA Association Day on 13 February 2024. The event featured the election of new MCA Association (ViCA) members and the recognition of achievers who excelled in various academic and extracurricular events.

The event began with a presidential address by Dr Reji C Joy (HOD, MCA) who highlighted the importance of student leadership and professional growth. Ms.Siji K B (Asst Prof, MCA, Faculty Co-ordinator, ViCA) provided an insightful overview of the association’s activities and its role in fostering technical and co-curricular excellence among students.

The newly elected office bearers of the MCA Association took charge, expressing their commitment to enhancing student engagement and organizing impactful events. The program also honored students who achieved remarkable success in technical competitions, hackathons, paper presentations, and various intercollegiate and national-level events. Their achievements were recognized with certificates and awards, motivating their peers to strive for excellence.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of faculty, student coordinators, and participants. MCA Association Day once again reinforced the department’s commitment to leadership, innovation, and academic excellence.
