Prize distribution and felicitation of the Extempore Competition Winners by Vidya Central Library and ISTE

Vidya proudly honored the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India, commemorating the remarkable vision of the framers, especially Dr. B R Ambedkar, Chairman of the Drafting Committee. Vidya Central Library, in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) organized an Extempore Competition on 26  November 2024 with the theme “the Role of Younger Citizens in Upholding Values, Contributing to Society, and Their Importance in India’s Democratic Framework.”

Participants spoke confidently and passionately, making the event an enriching experience Winners (Nahala Abdul Latheef V A (First Prize – S1, ECE Dept) and  Aysha Shafeek M M (Second Prize – S1, CSE Dept) were honored with cash prize and certificates in a function organized on 25 April 2025. 

Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) presented prizes to the winners and appreciated their thoughtful interpretations and eloquent delivery. Mr. Girish Kumar P C (Librarian) addressed the gathering with a note of appreciation for the students’ spontaneous expressions and emphasized the importance of conducting such competitions. 

Ms. Surabhi M S (Asst. Librarian) who was on the panel of judges along with Dr. Abhilasha P S (HoD, CE Dept) introduced the winners and praised the participants for their clarity of thought and understanding of the Constitution’s values.

The ceremony also acknowledged the enthusiastic co-ordination of Mr. Aneesh M A (Library Attendant) and Mr. K Vijayanarayanan (Library Attendant) along with the generous support of Mr. Sarath Babu Ramachandran (ISTE Secretary &  Asst. Prof, ME Dept) which contributed to the successful and seamless conduct of the Extempore Competition.
