Inaugural gathering of ‘TinkerHub VAST’ – ‘Chayayum Puffsum’:

The TinkerHub chapter of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Thrissur, proudly hosted its inaugural event “Chayayum Puffsum” on 23 July  2025. The event marked a vibrant beginning for TinkerHub VAST, successfully combining innovation, introduction, and interaction over a warm cup of tea and puffs.

The session commenced at 1:15 PM with a welcome address delivered by Arfan B T (Campus Lead of TinkerHub VAST,  S7 CSE Dept) . In his speech, he highlighted the mission of TinkerHub to bridge the gap between academics and practical learning, encouraging students to embrace hands-on experiences.

The gathering was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Moosa Meher, who delivered an insightful talk on the origins, purpose, and journey of TinkerHub. To further inspire participants, a short video featuring Mr. Moosa’s story was played, shedding light on the motivation behind the foundation of TinkerHub and its impact across campuses in Kerala.

Following the chief guest’s address, the core team of TinkerHub VAST introduced themselves and outlined their roles:

The session was anchored by Mr. Fadil Abdulla E, who effectively engaged the audience by explaining the purpose and vision of TinkerHub with enthusiasm and clarity. Ms. Mithu Varghese (Faculty Advisor of TinkerHub VAST, Asst Prof, EEE  Dept) coordinated and supported the event, playing a vital role in making it a grand success.

The event concluded  with all participants sharing tea and puffs, fostering informal interactions and bonding. To mark the occasion, each participant received a TinkerHub sticker as a memento of the chapter’s first gathering.

The inaugural event “Chayayum Puffsum” was a resounding success, characterized by excitement, inspiration, and collaboration. It laid a strong foundation for upcoming initiatives and nurtured a sense of innovation and community among the students of VAST.
