EEE Alumni Interaction with Sreejith M Hari (2004-08 batch)

Vidya  continues to uphold its strong alumni connections by creating platforms that inspire, guide, and empower current students. In line with this vision, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) organized an impactful alumni interaction session on “Bridging the Gaps between Electrical Industry and Academics” on 19 July 2025.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Sreejith M Hari (Founder & Director of Peaks Engineering and Voltan Technology, 2004–08 batch, EEE Dept).The programme commenced with a cordial welcome by Dr. Mary Varghese (Professor & Head, EEE Dept).Mr. Rajesh S K (Asso Prof,EEE Dept)  introduced Mr. Sreejith, highlighting his professional achievements and contributions to the electrical engineering industry.

In his inspiring address, Mr. Sreejith reminisced about his student life at Vidya and expressed gratitude to Dr. Sudha Balagopalan (Former Dean–Academics), whose guidance motivated him to pursue a career in the core electrical engineering sector, despite lucrative opportunities in the IT industry.

He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, sharing insights drawn from his entrepreneurial ventures and vast industry experience. His key message to students was to remain focused, nurture curiosity, and view challenges as opportunities for growth.

The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from third-year EEE students, who engaged with Mr. Sreejith through thought-provoking questions and discussions. His approachable nature, humility, and industry wisdom left a lasting impression on the audience.

The event witnessed active involvement and encouragement from faculty members Ms. Sheeja G  (Asst Prof,, EEE Dept), Ms. Akhila  (Asst Prof,, EEE Dept) and Mr. Rajesh S K. The programme was seamlessly coordinated by Ms. Sheeja G (Asst Prof,, EEE Dept) and Gokulnath V (S5, EEE Dept). A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Goutham Krishna (S5, EEE Dept).
