Representation of VAST NSS in Energy Cell Flagship Program

The NSS Unit Coordinators of Vidya actively participated in the Energy Cell Flagship Program titled “Power Up’25″, conducted on 12th and 13th July 2025 at the College of Engineering, Trikaripur. The event was organized as part of the Thrissur, Palakkad & North Region Training Camp 2025–26, aimed at equipping NSS Energy Cell leaders with essential skills in sustainable energy practices and leadership development.

The NSS Energy Cell unit coordinators, comprising Alanteena C A (S5, EEE Dept ), Arjun C N (S5,  EEE Dept ), Bhadra (S5,  ECE Dept ), Ajay M S (S5, EEE Dept ), Adith (S5, ECE Dept ), Devika (S5, ECE Dept ), Anamika Sebastian (S5, ECE Dept ), and Godwin C Baiju (S5, ME Dept), represented Vidya  at the two-day training camp.

The camp featured a series of interactive and knowledge-enriching sessions, including keynote talks by subject experts on energy sustainability, technical discussions on energy efficiency in buildings, and an introduction to the Carbon Neutral Home Project. Participants also engaged in an idea-pitching workshop to encourage innovation and problem-solving, visited the 12MWp Solar PV Plant at Ettukudukka operated by CIAL, and took part in team-building and leadership activities designed to foster collaboration among volunteers.

These sessions offered the volunteers valuable insights into practical energy conservation strategies and emphasized the significance of integrating sustainable solutions into community service.
