A Day of Learning and Smiles: VSEC Students at SOS Village, Mulayam

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), an initiative of the Vidya International Charitable Trust, strives to create equitable society. Through impactful educational programs and awareness initiatives, VSEC empowers individuals and fosters stronger, more resilient communities. Students from VSEC, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur, visited SOS Village, Mulayam on 30 August 2025, creating a day full of learning, discovery, and joyful interactions The session brought together 12 students from classes 7 to 10 of SOS Village and a six-member team from VSEC – Suraj Krishna K (S3 CSE Dept), Sooraj Sunilkumar T (S3, CSE Dept), Mohammad Hashim K S (S3, ME Dept), Mohammad Absar (S3, ME Dept), Asmita M (S3, CSE Dept) and Athira K Jayan (S3, CSE Dept) under the mentorship of Dr. Siju K. C (Head, VSEC and Asso. Prof, AS Dept) From 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the young learners explored concepts such as coordinates and GPS systems through engaging demonstrations, circle diagrams, and interactive discussions. What began as abstract concepts soon transformed into lively, hands-on experiences that made learning enjoyable and easy to grasp. The SOS students welcomed the team with bright smiles and boundless enthusiasm, actively participating and showcasing their eagerness to learn. For the VSEC team, it was not merely an academic session but a heartfelt exchange of knowledge, curiosity, and inspiration. This initiative reflects VSEC’s commitment to community engagement and meaningful learning experiences, proving once again that education shines brightest when shared beyond the classroom.
